I chose to attend the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) for my electrical engineering major due to its exceptional reputation, collaborative learning environment, and location in a thriving tech hub. At the time, I had no prior knowledge or awareness of radiation engineering. However, I consider myself fortunate to have stumbled upon the "Intro to Radiation Effects" course offered by Dr. Daniel Loveless. This course not only introduced me to the fascinating field of radiation engineering but also sparked a deep interest and passion within me. Dr. Loveless' expertise and engaging teaching style played a pivotal role in shaping my academic journey and career path, and I am grateful for the opportunity to have taken this course and for the invaluable knowledge and guidance I received along the way.
